Apartment extension Ueberlingen

Two studio apartments in the striking 1970s development directly on the shores of Lake Constance, built in the characteristic concrete brutalist style, have been combined to form a 2.5-room apartment. The five-storey building complex is set in a staggered form directly on the shore of Lake Constance. The architectural layout of the development means that each unit faces the lake. Each living space therefore has floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and balconies overlooking the lake. The access and ancillary rooms are consistently arranged at the rear of the building.

Inside the building, the original features from the 1970s are remarkably well preserved, such as the original surfaces and lights from the construction period and the indoor pool with a river gravel wall. They served as inspiration.

The successful fusion of the style elements of the 70s and contemporary elements gives the apartment a retro touch, which is combined with the residents' need for a certain timelessness.

The 70s style elements of strong colors, organic shapes and psychedelic patterns were combined with softer and more restrained style elements to set specific accents.

Furniture, textiles and lighting are a combination of new editions, original vintage pieces from the 70s and contemporary design furniture. This creates a unique blend of retro charm and contemporary design.
